Why am I not seeing results?

by Jeanny
(Singapore)

I have been taking antioxidant supplements for awhile, mainly for soft healthy facial skin. It has been 6 months and I still do not see any results. My skin is as terrible and clogged as ever. Why is that?

Are antioxidants best taken before or after meal? Also, this might be the culprit, I always take the supplements with alkaline water. Does the water neutralize the supplements and render them useless?

It's the QUALITY of the supplements that matters

Hi Jeanny,

Thanks for your question. I understand your frustration.

My first thought is that the quality of the supplements you're taking is likely so poor that you're not really getting anything from them. The reason I think that is because 99% of the products out there fit that category. Sad but true.

That's why I recommend a particular antioxidant product (I can't mention brand names on my website, so click on the link above and you'll receive it). I have seen the results personally and with my clients- it makes ALL the difference.

My second thought is that antioxidants can only do so much for skin health. They are amazing at PREVENTING damage and are capable of some wrinkle repair and creating healthier new skin cells. But your skin is really a reflection of your overall health, so to get truly beautiful skin, you need all the vitamins, minerals, and fatty acids that the skin needs. And that requires more than just an antioxidant supplement.

The bonus of my recommended supplement is that it not only has lots of antioxidants, but also all the vitamins and minerals the body needs for healthy skin. So it's much more convenient, economical and effective. There are a few other supplements that are important for healthy, glowing skin- if you would like these recommendations, just click on the "Contact Me" tab on the left and ask me for them.

Last but not least, there is a certain amount of topical care that you need to do to have soft and glowing skin. You mention that your skin is just as clogged as ever. The only way to stop that is by exfoliating. If you are not exfoliating once or twice a week, your pores will become clogged and your skin will look dull. Use a soap-free cleanser followed by a gentle exfoliator (please, not the crushed apricot pits!) and to really get the crud out, follow that with a good masque. Then apply your antioxidant moisturizer as usual.

For top quality, yet extremely economical skin care products to do this routine, click on the "Topical Skin Care Products" link on the right and get my recommendation.

I hope this helps. Let me know how it goes...
